What happens after install

    Create a Custom App in your Shopify admin

    In your Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → Create an app. Name it Pay Gateway(or anything innocuous — "peptide" words trigger Shopify Trust & Safety scans). Configure the Admin API scopes: write_orders, read_orders, write_draft_orders, read_draft_orders, read_products, read_inventory, write_customers, read_customers, write_themes. Save.

    Install the Custom App + copy the Admin API access token

    In the app you just created, click Install app, then on the API credentials tab click Reveal token once. Copy theshpat_…token immediately — Shopify only shows it one time.

    Paste the token + your USDC wallet on Peptide-Pay

    Back here, paste theshpat_…token and your Polygon USDC wallet on the setup page (we redirect you there after you click Install above). We hit Shopify with the token to confirm it works, then bind it to your account.

    Configure a Manual Payment Method named “Pay with Peptide-Pay”

    Shopify admin → Settings → Payments → Manual payment methods → Add manual payment method → Create custom payment method. Name it Pay with Peptide-Pay. In Payment instructions, paste the URL we hand you on the setup page — it points to peptide-pay.com/pay/order/{{ order.order_number }}?shop=…. Activate. This is what unlocks Shopify's checkout — without it your store dead-ends on “Stores can't accept payments right now”. Shopify natively collects the customer's shipping address and email through this flow, so you can fulfil physical orders.

    (Optional bonus) Paste a 2-line auto-redirect script

    Skips one customer click after they place an order. Shopify admin → Settings → Checkout → Order status page → paste the snippet we provide into Additional scripts. Heads-up: Shopify deprecates Additional Scripts on 2026-08-26 for non-Plus stores — when that hits, the script silently stops firing and the manual payment-instructions link in Step 4 takes over. Zero breakage, the customer just clicks once instead of being auto-redirected.

    That's it — your customers see a clean Shopify checkout

    On the cart, only the standard Check out button. No second button to confuse them. They enter shipping + email through Shopify's native flow, then at the Payment step they see a single radio: Pay with Peptide-Pay — Card · Apple Pay · Crypto. They tap Place order, get redirected to our hosted checkout, pay, and the order lands in your Shopify admin marked Paid. Shopify holds the address; you ship. Refunds are handled on-chain from your wallet (we never custody the funds).

Why a Custom App and not 1-click install? Shopify's App Store review process doesn't list payment apps for peptide / nutra / high-risk verticals. Custom Apps in your own admin are unrestricted — that's the path NowPayments, CoinGate, and we use. Setup takes ~5 minutes once. If your store was created after January 1, 2026 and you don't see the "Develop apps" option, ping @vidaspi on Telegram — we'll set it up for you via the Partner-side custom distribution route (Shopify deprecated merchant-side custom apps for new stores).

Common questions

Does this replace Shopify Payments?
Most stores using Peptide-Pay can't use Shopify Payments — high-risk verticals (peptides, SARMs, nutra) are refused at signup. We become the onlypayment method on your store, configured as a Manual Payment Method named "Pay with Peptide-Pay". Customers go through Shopify's native checkout (which collects address + email), pick our radio at the Payment step, then get handed off to our hosted checkout to actually pay.
Do you take a fee on every order?
Flat 3% merchant fee per successful order — settled in USDC on Polygon. The on-ramp (e.g. Moonpay) adds ~4.5% on card payments, charged to the customer on top at checkout, not deducted from your settlement. So the customer pays ~7.5% all-in on cards; you net ~97% on crypto-direct.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your USDC wallet on Polygon, on-chain, in seconds. We never custody it. You set the wallet on your Peptide-Pay dashboard.
Will Shopify ban me for using this?
Peptide-Pay runs as a Custom App you create in your own Shopify admin — it's not in the Shopify App Store and never touches Shopify's payment-app review (which routinely refuses high-risk verticals). Whether your store productscomply with Shopify's acceptable-use policy is your responsibility — we don't filter what you sell, but Shopify might.
What if I want to remove the app later?
Open Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Delete next to Pay Gateway. Shopify notifies us via webhook and we wipe your admin token within seconds. Then go to Settings → Payments and deactivate the Manual Payment Method. If you also pasted the optional auto-redirect script in Order status page additional scripts, remove it there.
